Happy Thanksgiving!

This is my favorite holiday. I am not sure why, but I love the fall, all the foods and football. I have two more Thanksgiving cards to share this week. The first card (above) is the one I sent to family and friends. The image is by Denami Designs--so cute! I stamped the image on very vanilla cardstock backed by chocolate chip from SU! and colored the image with SU! markers in rose red and orange. The brown gingham check ribbon is from my localy stamp shop, as is the polka dotted designer paper. Lastly, I punched a border trim on rose red and added it behind the image and stuck everything onto kraft cardstock. This card was quite a hit with my dad!

This next card is slightly more feminine. The inspiration came from the scrapbook paper in orange and blue, I purchased it at Michael's.

The pumpkin and sentiment images are from the Fall Elegance set by Papertrey Ink, and the orange grosgrain ribbon is from SU! The blue paper is enchanted evening from Papertrey, as is the ink color. Again, all mounted on kraft cardstock, quite easy! And my sister loved this one.  

What this all means now is that it's time for me to get serious about making my own holiday cards! Forget black Friday, I will be swimming in paper and tape all day. Have a wonderful holiday and thanks for stopping by!

Thankful for you

Here is a card that I made last week for Thanksgiving. The images are from PTI's Fall Elegance set. The card template is similar to one I saw on Nichole Heady's blog-I quite like it! I started with SU chocolate chip paper and a polka dotted scrapbook paper for the side of the card. The leaves and sentiment are stamped in colors from the rich regals from SU on vanilla cardstock, and that little strip is mounted with foam tape to give it an elevated look. The sheer gold ribbon is from Michael's... I also traced the word "thankful" with a glitter pen, not sure if you can see the detail or not (I hope so!):

Birthday Balloons

I am really happy with how this card turned out! If you have not considered buying any of the buttons bits sets from PTI, such as Everyday Buttons Bits (used here), then you are really missing out!

I started with a 4.25" square card from A Muse, and mounted on it a pirouette pink square (SU!), as well as the white square which was punched with a corner punch in all four corners. The image is stamped in Color Box chalk ink in deep brown, and the buttons are from PTI in Spring Moss, Hibiscus Burst, and Lemon Tart. I glue my buttons on with Crystal Effects or a similar product. Welcome baby

Just wanted to post a card that I made for my cousin, who just had a baby boy!

This one was fairly easy, made with bashful blue cardstock from SU!, along with some of the SU! designer buttons. I stamped the baby carriage in some greenish ink and covered with glitter (also from SU!). The patterned paper was purchased at AC Moore, and then mounted on pumpkin cardstock. Here is a closeup of the glitter detail:

A simple card, but it took me an hour to get it to look the way I wanted. ;)
