But not for the holidays - the presents are for our friend, Hal, whose birthday is next week.
I was inspired to make this card for him after discovering Kristina Werner's blog this weekend, where I saw her make a similar card for Christmas. (You can view it here!)
When I saw her "Heaps of Happy" card, I thought it would be perfect for Hal for two reasons:
1. His name also starts with the letter "H" so it would go nicely with the H theme.
2. He LOVES birds!!!! I mean LOVES. Each year I have tried to make him a birthday card with some kind of bird on it.
So that leaves him with this card being popped in the mail this week:
Thanks for stopping by! Lemme know what you think - I haven't decided if it all quite matches on this card yet. But maybe not matching is okay...it just has to "go" together, right? Either way, I do like it. :)
Have a great week!

Holy Cow! This is awesome, Suzanne! I love how you personalized it with his name and the presents are all angled differently. Very cool card. I'm sure he'll love it!
What a fun card....I love all the baker's twine as the ribbon on the packages!
