Thanksgiving is coming!

Thanksgiving is coming, and I am cooking dinner! Yep, that's right!

It's my favorite holiday, and unless I somehow manage to do a practice run before then, it will be the first turkey I have ever cooked. Let's hope it's like roasting a chicken, cuz if I do say so myself...I think I have mastered the roasted chicken.

What better way to relieve the panic of cooking than by prepping the placecards nice and early? ;) 

This is a great set by PTI, and I highly recommend it to everyone! 

In the meantime, I am in search of the world's best stuffing recipe. Please share if you think you have it!!

I admit that I haven't gotten around to particpating in as many challenges as I would have liked this year, but seeing all the nice things people have had to say has been really inspiring. Now, back to business.

I made some cards this morning, and started to make them in duplicate. I think doing 2 or 4 of a certain card at a time is easier than doing one different card at a time. Does anyone else do this? Here's what I drummed up today:

If you haven't visited her blog, you should because she makes all kinds of cute stuff. Plus she posts way more frequently than I do, so she certainly provides way more eye candy than I can. ;) This card uses paper and possibly stamps from A Muse, since Jess told me she made it at one of their classes. It arrived and brightened my day after a very long day at work - I was so happy to find it in the mail.

Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #25

Hi!!

I am hosting the Papertrey Paper Dolls challenge this week. I thought it would be fun to see what types of Fall-themed cards people could make without using the color orange, and here's what I came up with:

I was inspired by an Autumn card made by Maile Belles, who used green, yellow, and brown as her main colors. My color choice was motivated by my friend Jessica, who used green and purple in her shoebox swap card this past weekend.

I think this was one of the first times I got down and dirty with some PTI grosgrain ribbon. It is great, but for some reason I prefer the satin ribbon a little bit more for bows because it's a lot softer to move and bend. What do you think?

Anyway, this Sunday marks the 1-year anniversary of my blog, so I am going to do a giveaway that day for one of my PPD members. :)
