12 Kits of Christmas: December with Sharron

It's month #12 of our 12 Kits of Christmas project...where on earth has the year gone?! I can't believe it! This month's hostess is Sharron! If you'd like to read about how this group started and works, please read this post. :)  Sharron assembled a super fun winter kit for us, and I have to say that I think this one of my favorite kits yet. But it's also my last kit, as it's time for some others to have the fabulous chance to play along with these super talented ladies every month. I am going to miss them very much but I will be watching from afar to see what 2013 has in store for them!

For this first card, I added my own dotted washi tape and stamped the sentiment from Wplus9's Winter Wishes (which was also included in the kit) onto my most favorite piece of patterned paper from the kit.

For my next card, I cut 1.25" squares from some of the remaining sheets of patterned paper and stitched them together to look like a quilt. Then I used a PTI edger die along the bottom edge, and added the Wplus9 sentiment in Rich Razzleberry from SU!, along with the stitching image from PTI:

And last but not least...a card with the Simple Snowflake die. :) I embellished the "O" in JOY with a snowflake from last month's kit, and layered everything, including the glittered snowdrifts that Sharron sent along onto soft stone cardstock:

And that's a wrap! This isn't goodbye to all my 12 Kits friends at all - I love you all and will forever treasure your kindness and generosity. I have had so much fun playing with all the goodies over this last year (though at times my wallet has scorned you). I hope you will pop in on me every now and then to see how much progress I am making on my own 2013 holiday cards...it will be the reminder that I will surely need!

Here is a list of everyone else in our group. Have fun hopping around and seeing their creations!

Jeanne: A Kept Life

Thank you so very much, sweet Sharron, for an absolutely fabulous kit!

Suzanne, these are just amazing cards! Your first card with those sweet red birds is just breath takingly beautiful and that red polka dot Washi Tape is a fabulous touch. But your patchwork card is my favorite, I saved every little bit of patterned paper scraps for a card like this, now I have something to CASE! Thank you for the wonderful inspiration.

Suzanne, I knew your cards would be perfect and they are! You have a such a wonderful sense of design and color. Love your sweet bird card--that polka dot washi tape is a great accent. And the patchwork looks amazing. It makes me want to drag out my very unused sewing machine when I see how pretty your card is. I'm really going to miss seeing your creations from our kits but will continue to visit and see what other fabulous things you post. Have a wonderful New Year! Hugs!

Oh Suzanne, I will miss seeing your cards every month, but I plan to still keep up with all you make through your blog. I love your cards today...the solemn birch tree with the bird, the cute patchwork with the great scallop front and the great big snowflake with the joy and snowflake gem. You are a fabulous cardmaker and I always love seeing what you make, especially in CARDS magazine!

Suzanne, I'm going to miss seeing your creations with the kits every month! I'm always blown away by your creative eye. The red birds in the tree are my favorite, especially with the polka dot border to ground the scene. So clever. And your stitching! Fabulous! The last wintry scene in gorgeous, too. You certainly finished out the year with style!

Suzanne, I am going to miss you soo much in this group! But I will 'be back'! :) We must have been on the same wavelength with our cards. I LOVE LOVE your first card....Now THAT'S how I was envisioning my card using these same supplies! Why didn't I think of that??? Then you have that patchwork card.....what an awesome way to use these papers!!! Your third card with the snowflake as the background for the Joy diecut looks amazing! This is why these kits are so fun....to see how different people assemble them!!!! You are a true gem Suzanne and I'm so glad to call you my friend!!! Happy New Year! (sorry I'm late commenting as we went 'out' for my birthday Sunday)

I love all three Suzanne! I love how you layered the joy on the snowflake with a snowflake! Then the birds look great standing out on that paper and the quilted look? Awesome! You will so be missed, but I'm so lucky that I get to see you every week, still ;)
