12 Kits of Christmas: November with Jeanne...and a prize!
It's month #11 of our 12 Kits of Christmas project, and this month's hostess is Jeanne! If you'd like to read about how this group started and works, please read this post. :) Jeanne is the queen of stunning detailed dies and this kits was so overwhelmingly full of amazing stuff - it was so beautiful that I honestly did not know what to do with it!
For this first card, I used a circle die to cut out the middle of the doily to shape it like a wreath and I added my own bow diecut from a MFT die. Isn't the sentiment gorgeous?!
Jeanne sent along a gift card envelope diecut, so next I decorated that with some of the other beautiful dies that she included:
Then I made another CAS card, embossing the edge with a Lil Inker's die and adding my own stamped frame and diecut to the sentiment - that is a Wplus9 die and frame stamp:
Here is the FUN part:
Be sure to hop along and leave some comments because one lucky winner from one of the blogs will win a stamp and die set from Serendipity, whose products you see on this hop today! AND in honor of this hop, they are having a ONE DAY SALE of 20% off all Christmas items!!! Head on over to check it out! Thanks so much, Serendipity! :)
Here is a list of everyone else in our group. Have fun hopping around and seeing their creations!

Time for Lots of Christmas Stamping
More than a week had passed since I last made anything, and tonight I went upstairs to clean my craft room, pack up all my Fall stamps and papers, and break out my holiday and winter stash. There is no shortage of Christmas stamps or paper in this house - it's my one true addiction in paper crafting. I will never tire of my Christmas stamps! I love them!
Tonight I broke out my Wplus9 sets to make this card. I was inspired by the layout of a card that I made in my class with Shari Carroll and the color inspiration came from a pack of rhinestones that I picked up at Michael's (who is completely sold out of red bling, by the way...it's a bit of a crafty crisis, I think.)
I stamped Background Builders: Knit in Versamark on the pink background, and Folk Art Flurries in PTI's Dark Chocolate on the brown side panel. I used the same ink to stamp the frame from Very Vintage Greetings onto white cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment from Classic Christmas onto the handcut banner. Lastly, I stamped a flurry from the FAF onto the Simple Snowflake diecut in Versamark and added a matching rhinestone. :)
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! Did you go shopping and find any deals? I didn't shop much other than to stock up on some Crate Paper, but I am looking forward to Cyber Monday!
Have a great night!

8 Happy Nights
Hey hey hey! Hope your weekend was fun!
Today I have this card to share for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps; Michele designed the greatest Hanukkah set called 8 Happy Nights. I paper pieced the star and stamped the sentiment in dark blue ink. The rest of the card involved some simple layering and foam tape. I think this could be fun to make with a variety of blue patterns for the star.
Head on over to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog for more inspiration from the team all week long!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Release Week & Winner
Hi everyone! I wanted to post a card that I made for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Peek Week. My trip last weekend left me not knowing what day it was, and I missed 'my day' to post; here I am now!
I just wanted to let you know that Michele released some great new sets this week...on this card, I used Merry Kiss-mas:
They stamp like a dream!
I also wanted to thank everyone for all the comments they left on my giveaway post. You are all so sweet and I loved hearing about all your favorite products right now. I am super excited for the winner:
Brandi, I will send you an e-mail so I can get your address and mail your prize out ASAP! I hope you all have a great weekend. I have some local crafty stuff going on this weekend, as well as a wedding. :)
Hugs,
Suzanne
CAS-ual Fridays #79: Winter Blues
Hiya! It's time for this week's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, and this week's theme is to make a winter card using blue!
CAS-ual Fridays Stamps is this week's sponsor! There is a BRAND NEW release this week, so be sure to head on over to check it out!
I used the brand new set called Snowflake Greetings, and paired it with the Hero Arts diecut, which was embellished using some blue buttons and Hero Arts Hues pearls and bling.
This is a two week challenge, so you have plenty of time to play. :)
I also come with sad news that this will be my last challenge with CAS-ual Fridays. I've fallen upon an amazing opportunity at work, the kind that I can't say no to, and it will take a considerable amount of my time in additional to my normal responsibilities. I also have some other career choices to be making at the same time, and for clarity of mind I need to step down from the team. It has been an honor to play alongside this star-studded and most delightful team and I am so grateful to Michele for the opportunity. I will miss them so much. I am not leaving this hobby for good, though, as it is truly a huge stress release for me, and I enjoy sharing what I make with all of you. Thank you all for your amazing support- it has meant the world to me.
Hugs,
Suzanne

Cloud9 Blog Hop
This is my second post for today! For my CAS-ual Fridays post, please scroll down.
Today, the November Blog Hop over on the Cloud9 Blog begins! I hope you'll break out your Wplus9 stamps and join us over the next few days. Here is this month's inspiration photo:
I was inspired by the wreath hanging in the window and the red polka dot bag on the floor. I used the Simple Snowflake and Hearts & Clouds dies to diecut the center snowflake, which I then coated with some glitter.
I stamped the sentiment from Classic Christmas in a grey ink from SU! and lined the bottom of the card with silver washi and red dot paper, which are both from A Muse Studio.
I am so happy with how this came out and can't wait to send it!
Hugs,
Suzanne
CAS-ual Fridays #78: So Torn
Happy Friday! Very early this morning I am heading out for a weekend conference for work, so I hope you all make up for my lost crafty time while I am away. :)
Today I have a card to share for this week's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, which is to make a card using something torn. Our sponsor this week is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps, and you can see here a peek of some of the fun stuff coming your way during this month's release!
This card started with a Bazzill green card base, to which I added some white layers that were stamped using Impress Inks. The mistletoe was embellished using mini bling from Recollections, and I added a strip of raspberry fizz cardstock from PTI to separate the sentiment from the image.
I would have used red instead of bright pink but I am all out of mini red bling, and so are both Michael's in my area! Ack! It's all good. I am a sucker for the non-traditional colors anyway. :)
Have a great weekend!

Merry Classic Christmas
Tonight I made a quick CAS card using one of my most fave Wplus9 sets: Classic Christmas. I heat embossed the sentiment onto that awesome blue cardstock and layered some embossed squares (that I layered over one another so that the dot pattern would remain seamless) so I could enter this into the Square Punch Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog.
The flair button comes from Basic Grey's Aspen Frost collection. The colors are so fun for Christmas and I might need to play with these some more! These would be easy to mass produce for the holidays...
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Suzanne
P.S. Don't forget to enter my giveaway here.
P.P.S. The peek for this month's Cloud9 Blog Hop, for fans of Wplus9, will be available tomorrow!

Holiday Shoebox Swap
I had a great time today at Liz's house, where we had a holiday shoebox swap for 11 people. We could use any products that we wanted, but our card had to be assembled in 10 minutes or less. This was the card that I made and I just wanted to pop in really quickly to share it.
The striped cardstock, gold washi tape, and poinsettia dies are all from A Muse Studio. I paired them with an adorable sentiment from Hero Arts' Holiday Sayings and the chartreuse strip that was diecut using PTI's Half and Half die.
Hope you had a fun weekend! It was a busy one for us - besides the swap, we went to the movies for the first time in ages, I had chicken parm two nights in a row (so awesome!) and I went to see my grandma too. Now, off to get some rest!
Hugs,
Suzanne

Retrosketches #36
This week's sketch challenge at Retrosketches is based on my card, and I would love to see your take on it!
I turned the sketch upside down and used some fabulous Hero Arts stamps...there is a die for that Sleeping Snowman! How cute is he? I can't wait to play with him some more!
Have a super weekend!

CAS-ual Fridays 77: Snips, Snails & Puppy Dog Tails
We have a new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge today, and this week we're challenging you to make a card for a boy! The prize this week is a gift card to Simon Says Stamp and a spot as our guest designer:
I used an A Muse Studio set called Ahhnouncing along with a SU! striped embossing folder. Very CAS but I think it makes such a cute card for a bunch of different occasions.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

12 Kits of Christmas: October with Jessica
It's month #10 of our 12 Kits of Christmas project, and this month's hostess is Jessica! If you'd like to read about how this group started and works, please read this post. :) Jessica sent us an Paper Smooches filled kit - super duper fun times!
I really loved that Jess also chose papers matching Autumn Rose instead of a true red - this card looks so pretty to me with those pink holly berries that I added from my bling stash.
I knew that I had to work with the dog image, and know exactly who I am sending this next card to...
I added some glitter to his hat and opted not to color him. I really like the pine boughs she sent us too.
For my card above, I channeled my inner Lynn Mangan! How did I do!? Oh, I hope I did her proud! I heat embossed the leaves from my own Paper Smooches set onto the patterned paper using a glittery embossing powder.
And here is my favorite one of the bunch! I added the Wplus9 snowflake diecut behind the sentiment and added my own fine linen ribbon and stitching. I love all those trees in the paper!
Here is a list of everyone else in our group. Have fun hopping around and seeing their creations!

Introducing Little Tangles
Oh my, it is almost time for the weekend, and after getting stuck in an elevator at work yesterday I am SO ready for a couple days off! Today I am participating in a Hello blog hop welcoming the new Neat and Tangled challenge blog to town. It's called Little Tangles and our first challenge goes live on November 15th...and if you don't happen to own any Neat and Tangled stamps yet, there will be a free digital image available for download on the challenge blog!
Today I used images from Little Bear and Just Hello to create this mini card - it is 3.5" by 5"...a perfect size for a quick note to a friend. The sketch was inspired by this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge, as well as by this week's CASology challenge: SWEET. Neat and Tangled is sponsoring this week's CASology challenge, so be sure to play along to win the fun prize!
Speaking of prizes, there are two prizes being given on this blog hop; each winner will be chosen at random from one of the comments on all of our blogs. You have until Sunday, November 4th at 11:59pm EST to enter.
Here is a list of all the stops along the hop:
