Papertrey Ink Blog Hop: DT Appreciation

Today's post is for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop. This month's theme was Design Team Appreciation. We were instructed to choose one project from a DT member's blog or gallery and recreate it, adding our own personal touch.

I love Lisa Johnson's work, so I chose a card that she posted on her blog recently:

I wanted to try this card with buttons following a baby theme, so I came up with this:

All supplies are from PTI except for the rhinestones, which are from A Muse. The colors here are lemon tart, spring moss, and spring rain. The images are stamps from the Baby Button Bits set. By the way, the base of this card is 5.5" square, so it's a big one!

Thanks, Lisa, for all the inspiration!

Shake, rattle and roll, baby!

I have been playing with my Baby Button Bits set from PTI, which is probably my favorite store right now.

Yes, it beats out the supermarket. Not hard to believe, since it shocks me how anyone could take THAT long to pick out their yogurt.

But it also beats out any store in the mall. And QVC. I am not afraid to admit that I love QVC.

So here is what I made this week. It's inspired by the cards by Geny Cassady in the idea gallery, except I made my card with shades of lemon tart and spring moss cardstock, along their select white paper.

I'll tell ya, ever since I discovered glue dots, attaching buttons has become too easy. I highly recommend them.

I used the Polka Dot Basics set for the backgrounds, and SU! glitter, along with some grosgrain ribbon from Michael's. I love it. Just so cute.
